Spaghetti and Meat Sauce
Ingredients:
½ Pound of spaghetti (1/2 the box)
1 pound of Ground Beef
½ Onion
4-5 Cloves of Garlic
2 Cans of crushed or diced tomatoes
Olive oil
Spices: salt, pepper, vinegar, brown sugar, oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder
Directions:
Cook the spaghetti in a large pot. Dice onions and garlic around the same size. Once cooked al dente, pour into a strainer. In the same pot saute the onions in olive oil first until slightly softened. Then add the garlic. Stir frequently until browned. Add the ground beef with the spices and cook thoroughly. Once the beef is cooked add the tomatoes, 1-2 teaspoons of vinegar, and the spices to taste. Finally add the spaghetti back into the sauce and mix well before serving.
Tips and Tricks:
This recipe is a quick dinner. But if you have the time, the longer it simmers the better it tastes. The amount of vinegar you add depends on how acidic the canned tomatoes are. If you accidentally add too much vinegar, you can balance it out by adding a little sugar.
