Pot Roast

Ingredients:

·       Rump roast

·       Onion

·       Potatoes

·       Carrots

·       Water

·       Celery seed

·       Salt and pepper

·       Beef bullion (powder, cubes, or stock)

·       Garlic powder

·       Onion powder

·       Red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

In a large pot, brown the roast with the seasonings, while cutting up the vegetables. Once browned, add potatoes, onions, and carrots to the pot. Then fill the pot with water just below the vegetables. Set the pot to low or slow cook for 8 hours.

Tips and Tricks:

  If you choose to use beef broth instead of the bullion powder, you should use that first then fill the rest of the pot below the vegetables with water. Cut vegetables thick to keep them from getting too mushy. I like adding red pepper flakes for a little spice, but you can also add spicy peppers if you prefer the flavor.
